Barry A. Snell, CPA First Annual Toy Drive A Success!
An all-volunteer effort was launched to collect new toys for less fortunate children in Central America and right here at home, in our greater Los Angeles community. The Barry A. Snell, CPA First Annual Christmas Toy Drive, sponsored by the AIDS Health Foundation, was held at Trastevere Trattoria Italiana on Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica last Thursday, December 3, 2015 from six till nine in the evening.
Around 70 guests, including Santa Monica city council members, a representative from Senator Ben Allen's office, Santa Monica College staff and Santa Monica - Malibu Education Foundation filled the restaurant. Over 150 toys were collected and split between two charities: Dreams Come True of Belize, Central America and F. Ruth Moore V. S. O. Inc., Los Angeles.
Special thanks to Barbara Tenzer of Trastevere for supplying the venue, Anita Castille of the AIDS Health Foundation for sponsoring the event, and Kera Blades for coordinating the event.
